Temtsiltu Shobtsood
(Xi Haiming), the chairman of IMPP, was awarded the
Humanitarian Award by the Mongol-American Cultural
Association (MACA). MACA is a U.S. based non-profit,
non-political organization, which promotes and
preserves the Mongolian culture in the United States.
The annual Chinggis Khan Ceremony held by MACA
attracts many Mongolians from all over the world. This
year, the participants were from Mongolia, Southern
(Inner) Mongolia, Tuva, Buryatia, Kalmykia, in
addition to Hazara from Afghanistan and Pakistan.

www.mongolphotonews.comThis year also marks the 30th anniversary of the Mongolian student movement in Southern (Inner) Mongolia. Temtselt is well known as one of the key organizers of this event. In order to recognize his tireless effort and commitment to the protection of Mongolian human rights as well as the preservation of Mongolian culture in Southern Mongolia, MACA awarded Temtselt Shobtsood its Humanitarian Award of the year. IMPP appreciates this recognition from MACA, and will continue to voice the concerns of Southern Mongolians to the international community. With these efforts IMPP will help to preserve its culture, environment, and the well-being of its people in Southern Mongolia. |
