October first is the day that Chinese celebrate the founding of People's Republic of China, but not for Souther Mongolians,Uyghurs and Tibetans.   Dozens of Mongolians and Uyghurs gathered in front of the Chinese embassy in Stockholm, Sweden to mark the 62nd anniversary of Chinese Communist rule over their homelands.  During the protest, people waved their national flags and chanted the slogans of  "Free Southern Mongolia," "Free East Turkistan," "Free Hada," and "Free Ms. Huuchinhuu Govruud".

IMPP representative Mr. Shinjilt condemned the delay in release of Mr. Hada and the horrific torturing of Mongolian dissident Ms. Huuchinhuu Govruud.  Ms. Govruud, a well-known writer in Southern Mongolia, has been repeatedly beaten by police according to SMHRIC.  Ms. Govruud is nearly sixty years old and suffering from breast cancer.  On behalf of IMPP, Mr. Shinjilt expressed his outrage and disgust with these actions and demanded that Chinese authorities must respect the Southern Mongolians' basic human rights.  In addition, Mr. Shinjilt rejected uncontrolled mining and so called "ecological migration" policies in Southern Mongolia, which are rapidly deteriorating the environment of Southern Mongolia.
