Today, I come here to support you, also to ask for your support. For the past 50 years, the Mongols in Inner Mongolia have never given up their struggle for freedom. Meanwhile, you, my dear Taiwanese friends have never given up your dream to be independent.
99 years ago, an unknown tiny town , with its few thousand population was leased out to the British Empire. 99 years later , one of the world’s most prosperous modern city , Hong Kong , will come into another empire’s hand, the Chinese Empire, will become the sixth autonomous region of the P.R.China, along with the Inner Mongolia, Tibet, and Eastern Turkestan.
As you know, the Communist Chinese government, since the establishment of its first autonomous region , the Inner Mongolian Autonomous Region in 1947, never kept its promises to the Mongols. The Chinese government has been persecuting the people , occupying the lands, destroying the religion and culture and exploiting the natural resources in Inner Mongolia without any scruples.
Today, the people of Hong Kong are handed over to a government well known to the world by breaking its promises. Dear Taiwanese friends, the government of P.R.China’s is saying now, the next to take over is you, the people of Taiwan. After many years of one-party dictatorship, Taiwan has became a part of the free world, enjoying the taste of speaking and thinking without any fear. Now, my friends, you come here today, saying “ Taiwan independence, no Chinese Empire”. The people of Taiwan with a unique history, of course have the right of self-determination, have the right to be independent and in fact, Taiwan has been independent from the mainland China for many years , no matter how the P.R.China is claiming or whether Taiwan is a membership of the United Nations.
Dear friends, the tragedy of Hong Kong is after being a colony of a old time foreign Empire, it is becoming another colony of the modern Communist Empire. For a century, in spite of the very prosperous economy, the people of Hong Kong have been never given the right they deserve as a distinctive group of people. Nobody has paid enough attentions on what they think, what they feel. So the way to the people of Taiwan is tell the world how you feel , how you think, until everybody on the earth knows --- “Taiwan Independence, No Chinese Empire!”.
I am representing the Mongols of Inner Mongolia who are striving for their freedom saying: “ Taiwan Independence, Inner Mongolia Independence, No Chinese Empire!”
