The Inner Mongolian People's Party (IMPP) has held its 2nd plenary meeting of its standing committee recently in Washington, D.C., the United States of America. Two dozens of members from Inner Mongolia, Mongolia, America, Canada, Japan and Germany attended the meeting.

At the meeting, the party strongly condemned the Chinese Communist Government's continuing occupation of Inner Mongolia and oppression of the Mongols of Inner Mongolia; the party urged the international community to voice their concern over the human rights situation in Inner Mongolia; the party also appeals to the government of the United States and to other nations that respect the values of basic human rights to put more pressure on the Chinese government to release all the prisoners of conscience in Inner Mongolia, including Mr. Hada and Mr. Tegexi.

During the meeting, the party reasserted its determination to strive for the freedom of the people of the Inner Mongolia, in respect to the principles of the democracy and human rights.

During the meeting, the party also discussed and agreed on that the following three issues are the most important agendas of the upcoming years:

1, Publish a magazine and use other media to publicize the party's cause among the Mongols, as well as among the people around the world;
2, Launch campaigns for the early release of Mr. Hada and Mr. Tegexi from the Chinese prison;
3, Enhance the party's fund raising effort;
4, Working to bring the sufferings of the Mongols in Inner Mongolia to the awareness of the international community and working to get more support from the international community.

The party also announced the establishment of its new branches.

All the members attended the meeting strongly believe that it is their obligation to fight for the freedom of the Mongols in Inner Mongolia. The party believes that, through its continuous effort, the people of Inner Mongolia will equally enjoy the human dignity and the human rights as others one day.
