On this very eve of the fiftieth anniversary of the occupation of Inner Mongolia by the Chinese Communist forces, we solemnly declare to all the Mongol compatriots in the world the founding of the Inner Mongolian People's Party (IMPP).
On March 20, 1997 several dozens of Mongol activists from China, Germany, the United States and Mongolia congregated in Princeton, New Jersey, the United States to discuss the future of Inner Mongolian national liberation movement. After discussion the representatives unanimously decided to establish the Inner Mongolian People's Party, and elected Temtsiltu as the Chairman of the IMPP.
As you all know, Mongolia was a historical nation with its own territory, people, culutre, political organization, and national consciousness. However, in the recent modern history, Mongolia suffered constant and great internal and external threats. Since the late 1940s, Inner Mongolia fell under Chinese communist rule backed by the People's Liberation Army. This Chinese colonial, chauvinist rule has since destroyed the traditional Buddhist religion, the political system, and the traditional culture of the Inner Mongols. The Chinese government have moved in millions of Chinese to colonize Inner Mongolia and crushed ruthlessly any expressions of dissent among the Mongols. This brutal Chinese colonization of the Inner Mongols culminated in the death of fifty thousand Mongols and the imprisonment of six to seven hundred thousand more during the Cultural Revolution.
This policy and practice of genocide have become particularly intensified in the recent years, characterized by imprisonment of peaceful intellectuals and deprivation of their human rights. The recent severe sentencing of Hada and Tegshi not only revealed the oppressive nature of the Chinese Communist rule, it also laid bare the deep conflicts and contradictions embedded in todays Inner Mongolia. It further shows us that the rule of the Chinese communist colonialists is not a mandate of heaven, is not the natural course of history. These tragic experiences have generated tremendous anger and hatred among us Inner Mongols and have strengthened our will to fight against Chinese rule. It is a history which we shall never forget; it is a history all Mongols shall strive to overturn.
No matter how desperately the Chinese colonialist tries to suppress us, the tremendous power and determination of the Inner Mongols will continue to exist and expand and the day will come when the Chinese communist colonialist's rule will be buried in the garbage bin of history. Justice will prevail. The oppressed will rise and take their fate into their own hands. It is with such a historical mission that the Inner Mongolian People's Party has come into being.
Dear compatriots, the oppressed people of the former central Asian regions have gained their independence; the struggles of the Tibetan, Uighur and Taiwanese peoples are also picking up momentum. Lets take advantage of these historical developments and fight for the liberation of ourselves!
Dear brothers and sisters, the Hii Mori of Bogd Chinggis Khan resides in our souls. His teachings are constantly ringing in our ears: Do not worry about how much distance you can cover, think only about marching ahead; do not fear hardships and obstacles, we shall finally prevail.
Mongol compatriots, ours is a just cause, and a just cause shall triumph!
