Mongols, Tibetans and Uyghurs demonstrated on the 60th anniversary of Communist China

     September 26, 2009 – Tokyo, Japan Mongols, Uyghurs and Tibetans gathered here and carried out a demonstration to mark the 60th anniversary of the Communist Chinese rule in their respective homelands.

       Hundreds of Mongols, Tibetans and Uyghur people from all over the Japan took part in today’s event. They were each carrying their own national flags along with signs demanding freedom, human rights and equality in Southern Mongolia, Tibet and Uyghur region. They walked across Tokyo’s main intersections and finally came to protest in front of the Chinese embassy and each group handed over a letter of protest.

        Participants condemned the Chinese rule over the nations of Southern Mongolia, Tibet, and East Turkestan, and also acknowledged the importance of the future cooperation between the three regions. The gathering also received the attention and support from all circles in Japan.
