Along with a group of Korean and American supporters, IMPP members held the protest banners of ¡°Free Inner Mongolia¡±, ¡°Human Rights in Inner Mongolia¡±, ¡°Immediate Release of Hada¡±. Flyers about the purpose of the demonstration were also spread among the pedestrian and the reporters.

The members of Inner Mongolian People¡¯s Party (IMPP) in the United State gathered at 13:00pm, on April 28th, 2007 in front of the Chinese Embassy in Washington D.C, to hold a demonstration to mark the 60th anniversary of the Chinese occupation of Inner Mongolia.

The protestors condemned the Chinese government¡¯s continuous occupation of Inner Mongolia for 60 years and China¡¯s systematic human rights violation against Inner Mongolians, including political repression, cultural genocide, arbitrary and summary executions, torture of political prisoners, and denial of the ethnic groups' rights to determine their own political destinies.

The protestors were holding the protest banners and shouting the slogans. They demanded the immediate release of all political prisoners held in Chinese punitive institutions, such as Mr. Hada who is still serving his 12th year of 15 year jail term. The protestors also called for stopping repeating violations of international human rights agreements and the right to self-governance. One of the IMPP members, Ms. Odengaowa gave a speech during the demonstration. She said the fighting for the freedom of Inner Mongolia was long term, members should prepare themselves for the battle.
