Inner Mongolian People's Party Holds Its 3rd Central Committee Meeting
Princeton, New Jersey, United States of America - The third Central Committee meeting of the Inner Mongolian People's Party (IMPP) was held in
Princeton recently. A majority of Party members and advisors from around the world attended this historical event.
Aside from summing up the past years' activities, the main agenda of the meeting was to make organizational changes to the Party
leadership structure. The Party agreed on a new leadership structure that includes the positions of Party Chairman and Executive Director and
eliminates the Vice-Chairman and Secretary General positions. The term of the executive director is for one year and the position is decided as a
result of direct election. The Executive Director is solely responsible for the daily activities of the Party and will report to the Chairman.
After two days intensive debate and through open forum discussion, Mr. Oyunbilig, the former Secretary General of the Party, has been elected from
two candidates as the first Executive Director of the Inner Mongolian People's Party. According to the Party constitution, Mr.
Temtsiltu Shobtsood remains as the Chairman of the Party. Mr. Hohnars Borjigin is appointed as the
Treasurer of the Party.
At the meeting, the members and advisors also emphasized the urgency of our activities for revealing the Chinese Communist government's illegal
occupation of Inner Mongolia and their human rights violations in Inner Mongolia to the world communities. The members and advisors all agreed
that it is their responsibility to make the maximum effort and through all possible channels to pressure the Chinese Communist authority to release
all political prisoners in Inner Mongolia, including Mr. Hada and Mr. Tegexi.
Organizing demonstrations, publishing newsletters and working on the
release of Hada and Tegexi are some of the main objectives of the Party
this year.
